Video Title : placing intracardiac echo probe in the heart
Description : Once the coronary sinus catheter is placed inside the heart and secured, you will see the intracardiac echo probe mounted on a catheter tip. This catheter is placed through the left femoral vein sheath. X-ray guidance is used to move the catheter up into the middle of the right upper chamber where it catheter is usually “parked.” This gives the doctor a panoramic view of the left upper chamber and guides the puncture of septal wall and access to the left upper chamber. It also enables the doctor to view the openings of the pulmonary veins and watch for clot formation.
