Description : After ablation in each pulmonary vein, you will see the abnormal electrical activity in the heart disappear, suggestive of an effective procedure. By moving the circular/spiral mapping catheter around each pulmonary vein, the electrical pathways around the entire vein are isolated. Using this same technique the rest of the pulmonary veins are also isolated. You can see the lesions created by the radiofrequency energy in red around each vein. You will also be able to see the circular mapping and ablation catheters around the right superior and right inferior pulmonary veins.
