Atrial Fibrillation and Renal Disease


Co-incidence of atrial fibrillation and renal dysfunction the general population is described in many epidemiological studies. Major issue is optimal anticoagulation in patients with atrial fibrillation and renal disease warranting balance between risks of ischemic stroke and hemorrhages. The second issue is catheter ablation of AF patients with renal dysfunction. Both issues are discussed in this paper.
