Affiliation: Attended Christian Medical College in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India, followed by internship at Columbia University Hospital in New York City. Dr. Asirvatham was chief resident at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and completed fellowships at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City and Mayo Graduate School of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is currently professor of Medicine and vice chair of the Division of Cardiology (Innovations) in the Department of Medicine and a consultant in Cardiac Electrophysiology in the Department of Pediatric Cardiology, Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. Currently, Dr. Asirvatham is also Program Director for the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Training Program at Mayo Clinic - Rochester.
