Callans is Associate Director of the Arrhythmia Service at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine. His residency and fellowships in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology were performed at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Callans? research interests include complex ablation and mechanism of ventricular tachycardia.

He has published more than 170 peer-reviewed papers and more than 40 book chapters. Dr. Steinberg has served in numerous executive positions in a host of large scale multicenter clinical trials. His current research interests focus on atrial fibrillation and design of randomized clinical trials of advanced or innovative ablation techniques.
