I am board certified in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology and hold a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. I am an elected Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS) and serve as a member of the Arrhythmia Sub-committee for the NIH Cardiovascular Cell Therapy Research Network (CCTRN), Heart Rhythm Society Communications Committee, and Arrhythmias and Electrocardiography Committee of the American Heart Association.   • Dr. Stavros Stavrakis, MD, PhD.

    Affiliation:He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He completed fellowships in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiology at the University of Oklahoma. Before coming to the US, he was a research fellow at the University of Athens Medical School, Greece, where he also earned his medical degree and a doctorate in philosophy. His research interests include optimizing the response to cardiac resynchronization therapy and autonomic neuromodulation in atrial fibrillation.

    Affiliation:Dr. Shah started his career in cardiac electrophysiology in Bordeaux, France with Pr. Haissaguerre. Since the last 6 years Dr. Shah has ran the Cardiac Electrophysiology Unit at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. His research interests center on atrial reentry arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, catheter ablation technology and mechanisms of atrial arrhythmias.

    Affiliation:Dr. Gilutz Harel received his M.D. degrees from Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheva, Israel at 1980. He was appointed as a director of the intensive coronary cardiac care unit at 1995 at the Soroka University Medical Center, a 1000-bed tertiary care and university hospital, affiliated with the Ben-Gurion University. At 1996-97 he was a visiting professor at the cardiovascular division at Stanford University where he had training in IVUS (Paul Yock) and passively participated in the research group of John Cook).
